2K a year Develop brand awareness through the use of social media.
Identify the target audience, set objectives, develop content strategy that engages the target audience, increases web traffic, and improves conversion rates.
Manage Ferrum College's online community by engaging with the audience in real-time.
Essential Functions:
Develop and implement a comprehensive social media strategy to engage and connect with all internal and external constituents of the College (alumni, students, parents, donors, industry, Boards, etc.
) and align it with organizational goals with the aim to permeate the market with information about Ferrum College.
Advance the College's brand and voice.
Create accurate, engaging and shareable content, including text, images, and videos in all venues (i.
e.
, FB, Instagram, LinkedIn, TikTok, Yik Yak, etc.
).
Create marketing materials and short and long videos for use in social media channels and College website.
Ensure that two-way information and feedback can occur via channels.
Serve as the first line of customer service to those with needs or concerns.
Monitor Ferrum College, higher education, societal, political, and cultural trends to develop relevant, topical content and of-the-moment engagement.
Ensure that the institutional voice is aligned with the President and Board of Trustees.
Engage potential social media contributors to develop and post to all social media venues.
Proactively identify and cultivate new internal and external relationships with all constituents (including alumni, boards, etc.
,) and develop compelling social and web or other digital content.
Leverage existing social followers for content creation and dissemination.
Monitor social media posts of the Ferrum community, actively seeking opportunities to expand content and being alert to emerging issues.
Collaborate with all departments to integrate social media into overall programmatic or marketing campaigns and to involve constituents in strategic opportunities for the College.
Develop digital advertising and strategies for placement to support College goals.
Create successful, actionable calls to action and demonstrate successful outcomes.
Collaborate with the development team to enhance alumni and alumni board engagement through social media channels.
Serve as the lead technical support for social media-based campaigns, including crowdfunding, giving days, data collection campaigns, and so forth.
Increase traffic to College's website, especially to Enrollment Management pages.
Ensure that information and data, as well as concerns, received through social channels are shared and integrated into the appropriate campus office.
Monitor social media trends, tools, and applications and Analyze social media metrics and adjust strategies to optimize performance.
implement strategies for adoption.
Stay informed about industry changes and advancements.
Review and update social media policies on a regular basis.
Minimum
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, or related field.
Proven experience as a Social Media Manager or similar role.
Excellent interpersonal and relationship-building skills.
In-depth knowledge of social media platforms, trends, and best practices.
Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Creative and outgoing mindset with the ability to develop engaging content and build relationships.
